World champion waterpolo player joins to the Climate Action ambassador`s team
Márton Szivós is a member of a real water polo dynasty, as both his grandfather and father won Olympic titles for Hungary in the sport.
Márton Szivós started playing water polo at KSI, then he played for Honvéd. He played one season abroad in Italy for Pro Recco. After a legionnaire life, in May 2012 he moved to A Híd Szeged, then after two seasons he moved his headquarters to Eger.
He also left Eger after two seasons and returned to the capital, to Budapest Honvéd. Between 2003 and 2016 he was a continuously decisive player of the Hungarian Water Polo Team, and numerous individual and team awards prove that Marci is one of the defining figures of Hungarian water polo. In 2013, in Barcelona, he won the World Championship title as a member of the Hungarian National Team, and he can also claim to be a two-time World Championship and European Championship silver medalist.
From the 2020-2021 season, he has been working as a head coach at Budapest Honvéd.
Marci's humility towards sport and commitment to environmental protection and sustainability will make her a credible green ambassador for Climate Action.
